- The top of Sema (sculptured tablet stone) is derived from the following three shapes:
- The top of the Yakhu pagoda, the holy pagoda of Kalasin province, symbolizes the wisdom and morality which are the most noble characteristics of a human being.
- Sema (sculptured tablet stone) which is the identity of Kalasin province refers to civilization, greatness, religion and the arts.
- Candle flame means brightness, knowledge, wisdom, and morality.
- The image of joining hands symbolizes the integration of the two universities: Rajamangala University of Technology Isan, Kalasin Campus and Kalasin Rajabhat University.
- Drop of water refers to the fertility of Kalasin province.
- The candle flame consists of 3 parts which each refer to the integration of sciences, technology, and local wisdom which are the determination and mission of Kalasin University aiming to develop local communities and society.
- The symbolic color of Kalasin University is leadwort blue (leadwort is a flower with an indigo blue color and a turquoise hue, #7ca3d5) which refers to fertility, knowledge and wisdom, independence, inspiration, and creativity. Leadwort blue also means that graduates of Kalasin University are patient, determined, calm, and polite.
